FIRST OF MAY

I got up early today with the intention of doing my month end report as I have tons of reports that needed to be consolidated, and it requires more than a day's shift to complete. Then the unexpected happened.... I can't get through the remote desktop! Ahahaay. Guess this is one way of telling me that it's a Sunday and I should go back to bed . But If I go back to bed, I'd only have a head ache when I wake up. So here I am, with nothing else to do on this early Labor Day morning, updating my blog.

It really feels good to listen to the songs that we grew up with. It always brings back a lot of memories. Well, that's what music does, right? It shapes our  life's history. I always tell people that music has a great influence on me. I'm not a singer, not even a musician. But I love music. It has motivated me in so many ways especially when I'm stressed or tired. I don't read books, I listen to music. Music and books don't come together for me, but I sooo love them both. I read a book only when I'm relaxed, otherwise I won't remember anything the next day. If there should be any music while I'm reading a book, it has to be classical or instrumental, to stimulate my brain cells. Going back, if there's one song that reminds me of my childhood to the point of making me feel nostalgic, that would be Alice Cooper's I Never Cry. I grew up listening to rock music - American, British and even Pinoy. All these will always have a huge impact on me, but that song, is the only one that moves me every time I listen to it. It's just magic every time.

Happy Labor Day to all of us!

OF TRIBUTES AND ETC's

I was in La Union last week to attend the funeral services of my late uncle. He was one person we didn't really like because of his attitude, especially when he's drunk. But that day, I realized that even if you don't like the person that much, in the end he is one person you will truly miss. That that negative aspect of his personality is the exact same thing you will miss about him. It even becomes a source of laughter for everyone - in a good way, of course.

May he rest in peace...

Incidentally, it's my late father-in-law's death anniversary today. It would have been fun if he was still alive when MM arrived. Same thing with my late father. I'm sure they will adore her as everybody else do. But then we can't control God's will. At least now she has 2 grandpas up there who are watching over her.

The car is being painted and I hate the smell. Super hate it. Not to mention bad for the health. Thank goodness it'll be over next week. We might finally be able to visit Daddy Lolo's grave in Everest.

It's Earth Hour tonight. We're turning off our lights for 1 hour beginning at exactly 8:30 pm. If you can, please do so as well. Let's save Mother Earth. :)

ON AND OFF, AND ON AGAIN, THEN OFF AGAIN, AND SO ON....

I can't believe its been over a year! Oh well... I've been tempted to update my blog alot of times but my time just wouldn't allow me to. It's quite difficult to do other things (aside from what you are usually doing) when you have so little time in your hands. Motherhood for one, is something that eats alot of my time. I don't mind though. It's the most rewarding experience a woman could ever have. Everytime I see my daughter - whether she's smiling (or smirking), or when she's making lambing (hugging and kissing me) - every sacrifice becomes worth it. I soo love her when she's giggling! And singing! And dancing! Oh, I adore her alot!

We celebrated M's 2nd birthday around three weeks ago. Can you believe it? She's now two years old! Time flies really fast huh. She and her guests had a grand time participating in the games and watching tricks from the clowns. She practically owned the party. It was organized for her anyway, so we're glad that she enjoyed every bit of it. It was actually her dad who got busy with  the preparations and all (I was undergoing training at that time). So I guess its just proper that Hubby should be given more credits that I am. And of course much more credits to all those who came, those who helped out with preparing the food and the house, as well as those who helped out in serving the food to the guests. We can't be thankful enough. Grazie, grazie!

Breaking News. I am watching ANC right now. There was a tsunami in Japan as a result of a magnitude 8.2 earthquake. Wow, that's quite strong! Now the Philippines is under tsunami alert #2. I hope it doesn't reach us. In case it does, I hope nobody gets hurt. Earlier this year, an earthquake hit New Zealand, then Chile in February. Today, Japan. Could the rumors of the world coming to an end soon, be true?

It was Ash Wednesday the other day and I had my forehead "ashed", so to speak. That means I'm not supposed to eat pork today, right? And I'm supposed to make some small sacrifices, right? Hmmm... what could be a good sacrifice? Are you making yours?
